When you see them walk the red carpet, there seems to be nothing desperate about the cast of the popular TV show Desperate Housewives. They all seem to float in their glamorous gowns, smile effortlessly at the camera, and flaunt near-perfect bodies. What are the fitness secrets of these small-screen stars? Do they go under the knife, drink diet pills, starve themselves, and exercise for hours?

Here’s how Nicolette Sheridan, Felicity Huffman and Marcia Cross avoid going under the knife just to achieve that not-so-desperate-housewife body:
Nicollette Sheridan seems to be ageless. The tall blonde beauty maintains her slim figure by engaging in sports, including volleyball. She considers herself as athletic; Sheridan also goes skiing, and likes riding horses.
Felicity Huffman seems to be the superwoman on the show, and her onscreen character might just be thin because of all the running and scurrying about. Off screen, however, Huffman plays tennis, goes running or hiking, and enjoys biking and skiing. It is this regular exercise that helps her stay fit.
Marcia Cross plays the staid, but still seductive Bree, and Cross owes her figure to intensive yoga. Lean and sculpted, Cross engages in an hour and a half of regular yoga power classes, where she engages in standing poses for forty-five minutes, half an hour in exercises that work on her abdominals, and about fifteen minutes of relaxation exercises.
These are only a few tips that can help you get the body of your favorite desperate housewife. In general, you will need more fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet, so you might want to stay away from fast foods, fried and fatty foods, or foods that have a lot of additives or preservatives. You also need to maintain an exercise regimen that involves isolating certain muscles that are flabby, or that might need more toning than the rest of your body. In other words, exercise and eat well, and soon, you will no longer be desperate for the body of your dreams.
