Well, if you had Heidi Klum’s and Cindy Crawford’s genes, that’s probably self explanatory, but we aren’t all blessed like these stars. So how can mere mortals enjoy the joy of childbirth and still get back to how we were before the pregnancy? Aside from the tried and test weight-losing trick like breast feeding, there are other ways you can use. Here is the first of the three simple steps to lose that baby weight and look fabulous once more:

Have a plan.

Before using an exercise routine or diet plan, consult your doctor. Your body has just undergone plenty of changes and stress. If you don’t use the right combination of physical activity and nutrition, you could place your health at risk.

You’ll usually need to have a few weeks off physical activities in order to give your body time to recuperate. You can start your exercise and diet regimen after about six weeks if you’ve given birth naturally and more if you’ve had a C-section. Once you’ve gotten your doc’s go signal, aim to start slowly and gently.
