
Obesity among employees with sedentary occupations is a common thing to happen. What with sitting in front of the computer all getting overstressed with paper work and other sitdown stuff won’t make you fat?
As an attempt to address this increasing number of obese workers, scientists designed a vertical workstation that makes a worker do some business tasks while working out.
Researchers James Levine and Jennifer Miller designed a vertical work station that allows an office worker to use a computer while walking on a treadmill at a speed of their choice. The machine looks like a regular treadmill superimposed with a metal frame that holds a desk area in front with adjustable arms holding a screen and keyboard with mouse.
